First Step Towards Wisdom

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” Prov 9:10

Note what the verse says, “The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” In other words, you can’t have understanding if you don’t know Christ. God’s first step toward wisdom is salvation, followed by submission, obedience, and to be saturated with the Word of God in the power of His Holy Spirit.

The fear of the Lord is the continued awareness that God is watching, evaluating, and judging every one of our motives, words, thoughts, and actions.

The more conscious we are of His presence – the more motivated we are to call upon Him for His power to live the kind of lives He wants us to live.

“How do I grow in the Lord,” you ask ?
1. Be saved - repent and receive Christ into your heart.
2. Be obedient. John 14:15
3. Pray, study and meditate. Psalms 1
4. Praise Him.
5. Trust Him.

You are just as spiritual today as you really want to be.

All that ignore God - are but fools.
You cannot ignore God - and be wise.
