Biblical revelation clearly ascribes Lordship to the Living God, the God of the Bible.
“The earth is the LORD’S, and all it contains,
The world, and those who dwell in it.” Psalm 24:1
“Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: ‘I am the first and I am the last, and there is no God besides Me.’” Isaiah 44:6
Has it ever occurred to you that where God is concerned, you can use the terms lordship and sovereignty interchangeably? The lordship of God is one of His many perfections which He has revealed to use through the Scriptures - and in our personal experience with Him. Today, celebrate His lordship in your life. How? “Many plans are in a man's heart, but the counsel of the LORD will stand.” Proverbs 19:21
This last verse brings to the fore the question, how can God be Lord and yet allow man a free will? The Scriptures teach both of these. Therefore you must believe both, through you may not understand how. By your very nature, you set yourself against God as an unbeliever. Yet He graciously reached out to you. He enabled you to choose to believe in Him.
Now, you can celebrate the Lordship of Christ. Rejoice. Give thanks throughout the day. We love Him because He first loved us.
