The Expression of God

“No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him.” John 1:18

Here is Jesus, the revealer of the Father. Here is the expression of God the Father, His love and compassion, demonstrated so that we can see Who God is, what He is like.

Here is Jesus showing us God in His holiness, His righteousness, His patience, His power, His wisdom, His faithfulness, His very heart, His grace. When you pray with Paul: “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ...” (2 Cor. 13:14), all of the above is included.

Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you in an exercise of love for Jesus because He revealed to you -
God’s holiness _________________

God’s patience ________________
God’s power __________________
God’s wisdom _________________
God’s faithfulness ______________
God’s heart ___________________
Fill in the blanks with words of love, praise, thanksgiving.

Now, pray with Paul:
“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all” (2 Corinthians 13:14). With whom? Start with your list in your prayer journal. No prayer journal? Maybe you need to start one.
