To Be Holy

“...And put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.” Eph 4:24

To be holy is to reflect the image of the holy God. To be holy is to be spiritually healthy or whole.

Who is spiritually whole? The one who is properly related to the Spirit of God. He is the One Who energizes you to live righteously.

God is holy.

“The Lord is righteous in all His ways, And kind in all His deeds.” Psalm 145:17

He Himself is the standard of holiness. We, on the other hand, can make no such claim apart from Him.

“...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” Romans 3:23

This moral and terminal disease from which we all suffer must be treated by a holy God.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23

“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death." Romans 8:1-2

Positioned in Christ you stand before the holy God spiritually whole. By His Spirit you can realize practical spiritual health daily.

“For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority." Col. 2:9-10
