Unblamable

“So that He may establish your hearts unblamable in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all His saints.” I Thess 3:13

God has promised to hear your prayers when they accord with His will. One way to know how to pray His will is to pray with Paul through the New Testament.

Paul’s prayer for love among the believers at Thessalonica was with special design.

Ask the Lord to establish your heart and the hearts of your loved ones in Him. All of us need His help. As the hymn writer put it, 'without His help we are prone to wander.'

Notice Paul did not pray that the Thessalonians would be sinless. He asked that they be unblamable. Perfection will not be your daily experience, but you can ask God to help you (and others) deal with sin as He wants you to. Confession and restoration are a part of God’s will.

Holy living is impossible without the love of God in your heart - first loving Him and then exhibiting His love to others. This request for love was paramount in Paul’s prayer. The result of such love will be personal holiness.

Remember - God’s Promise “And may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith.” Philippians 3:9
